「スパイウェア」に気を付けろ！！

ある意味、ウイルスよりもやっかいな「スパイウェア」。これについてショッキングな記事がCNETJapanに掲載されていました。

家庭用PCのおよそ8割がスパイウェアに感染しており、それらのユーザーの大半が感染に気付いていないことが、米国時間18日に発表された調査結果から明らかになった。

上記は、CNETJapanから抜き出した記事だが、あまりにもスパイウェアに対する対策が取られていないことに愕然とした。上記はあくまでも米国での話だが、日本でも同じような状態になる（なっている？？）可能性は充分ある。
たしかに、あまりパソコンやネットに詳しくない一般のユーザーならば、ウイルス対策さえしておけば、充分に攻撃の脅威から自分のパソコンを守ることができるだろうと信じている人は多いと思う。しかし、ウイルスとスパイウェアはほとんどが別物であるし、ウイルス対策ソフトはスパイウェアに対して全くといって良いほど役に立たないのである。スパイウェアの脅威についてご存知無いという方は、こちらのnikkeibp.jpの記事「隣のネット・セキュリティ事件〜スパイウエア（1）」に様々なスパイウェアの脅威が掲載されていますのでぜひご覧いただきたいと思います。
僕は、昨年からスパイウェアの恐ろしさを敏感に感じていたので、対策ソフトとしてPestPatrolを導入しています。

この記事を書きながら、ちょっと気になってきて、メインのパソコンに試しにPestPatrolでスキャンを掛けてみたところ、1個のスパイウェアを発見！！（ガーン、、、）
